Daniel Webster College, also known as DWC, is a for-profit college located in Nashua, New Hampshire. The school is owned by the ITT Educational Services, Inc. The college was founded in 1965 and it was associated with Boire Field (now called the Nashua Municipal Airport) under the name New England Aeronautical Institute. The institute then merged with its Daniel Webster Junior College and was renamed as the Daniel Webster College in 1978.
The main campus of DWC is found on 54 acres of suburban land next to the Nashua Municipal Airport. In the Nashua campus, there are five residence halls and three academic buildings. The school is a subsidiary of ITT Educational Services, Inc when it was bought for 29.3 million dollars in 2009. The school offers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and associate's degrees. The school also offers several adult degree completion programs and even an online education program. The school gets its accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
The school also has a transfer program which allows their students to continue their 2 year associate’s degree and complete a 4 year degree with affiliated colleges and universities. The school’s online program also allows students to continue or extend their education through the internet and distance learning. The online program is offered to students who are enrolled through the traditional schedule.
Daniel Webster College fields 15 different varsity teams and competes in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). The Men's sports compete in cross country, basketball, baseball, soccer, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, and volleyball. The women compete in basketball, cross country, volleyball, basketball, softball, volleyball, field hockey, and soccer. The school colors are Blue and Red and the school nickname are the Eagles.
